Enigmo dragon ball10/28/2022 If anything was "smeared," then actual paint strokes would disappear. Because I can just barely make out some of the paint strokes on the DBox, while they're very clear on the 30th (but are all still there, even the smallest). Okay, just going by the shots above, point out to me a specific instance of detail loss (like this rock or this line is missing). The problem with the 30th set is it's TOO clear, to the point where actual detail is gone. The Dragon Box has lots of GRAIN, which does produce detail, being part of the image. The detail on the 30th has been smeared away, producing a blurry image. lolĪre you serious or a troll? Because you're either not well educated on picture quality or a troll. Perhaps by "hardcore fans" they meant people who liked the Season Sets, but wanted it in 4:3 AR. The water paint background and fake grain is just something FUNimation should have never done, even moreso as this was intended for hardcore fans. And then there's that France has released Dragon Box for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, and neither are limited edition so anyone can purchase.Īnyhow, I remember a few pages ago Enigmo saying that making the picture smoother improves the 30th release, but eh, it's a subpar product either way. Selecta Visión's Dragon Ball Z 2006 remaster to me looks really good as the DNR didn't destroy the detail, but rather smoothen it out. Good thing I own the (U.S.) Dragon Boxes Z, Dragon Ball Kai (Part 1-4) and some of the (J.P.) Dragon Box Z Singles. It's just not something worth discussing all that much as the triple products are mediocre and you can't really get the "best" out of it, as it's an unsatisfactory product at the end of the day. If some of you guys think the Season Sets/30th looks better than the OB, that's your call.
